The “Blacklist”

If you’re like me, you’re tired of the digital noise. We are constantly bombarded by the same handful of brands, repeated over and over until their marketing feels less like an invitation and more like an intrusion.

I’ve reached my breaking point. To reclaim my peace of mind, I’ve started a personal list of products, services, and companies I will never use—simply because I’m already sick of hearing from them.

My New Rule for Consumerism

Moving forward, my approach to finding services is simple:

  1. Active Search: If I need something, I’ll search for it myself.
  2. Professional Network: I’ll check LinkedIn for experts within my own circle.

The Bottom of the Pile: If I know your name because you’ve interrupted every video I’ve watched for a month, or if you added me on social media just to spam my inbox, you’ve already lost me as a customer.

A Note to Companies: How to Actually Reach Me

If you’re a brand wondering how to get on my radar, the answer is simple: Be discoverable, not unavoidable. Connect with me on LinkedIn. Provide value and build a presence. If you’re doing your job well, I’ll find you when I actually need your service. Until then, stay out of my feed.
